Crypto recovery is where the scams live, so let's be straight from the start: no one can guess a seed phrase you've completely lost, reverse a transaction, or crack strong encryption — and anyone who says they can is lying. What we can do is data recovery — getting your wallet file back from a failed, deleted or formatted drive, or reading the data off a damaged hardware wallet, so you can restore access yourself.
$ bdr recover wallet.dat → Source: failed laptop SSD · owner verified → Status: WALLET FILE CORRUPTED — will not open → Wallet: Bitcoin Core · encrypted $ bdr engineer-working → Drive image: taken · wallet.dat carved → Wallet file: repaired · structure valid → Password: rebuilt from owner hints $ bdr verify → ✓ wallet.dat — recovered + opens → ✓ keys — intact · owner in control → ✓ access restored — funds untouched
If a service promises guaranteed recovery, asks for an up-front “unlock fee,” or claims to reverse a transaction or recover scammed crypto, walk away — it's a scam. We only do genuine data recovery: recovering wallet files, keystores and hardware-wallet data from your own devices. If the underlying data survives, we can often help; if your seed is truly gone, we'll tell you honestly.
Losing access to a wallet is usually a data problem, not a codebreaking one — and data problems are the kind we solve. These are the situations we can often help with.
Crypto “recovery” is full of false promises, so here's the honest version. Where enough of your own wallet actually survives — a file, a device, most of a seed — we can often help. Some things genuinely can't be done by anyone, and we'll say so up front rather than take your money.
One thing we’re straight about: coins sent to a scammer or a mistyped address cannot be clawed back by us or anyone — outfits offering to “trace and recover” stolen crypto for an upfront fee are simply the next scam in the chain. Our work is recovering wallet data from hardware you own; nobody can rewrite the blockchain.
We work with the common wallets and coins at the data level — recovering the files and device data behind them, whatever the currency.
Bitcoin Core wallet.dat · Ethereum keystore files · Electrum, Exodus and MetaMask data · and Ledger and Trezor hardware wallets — recovered at the data level for you to restore.
This is data recovery, not codebreaking. We recover the wallet file, keystore or hardware-wallet data from your device — from a read-only image — and hand it back so you restore your wallet and access your funds yourself.
Tell us what survives: a drive with the wallet, a damaged hardware wallet, a corrupted file. We tell you honestly whether it's recoverable, before any charge.
Whatever the device, it’s imaged read-only first and the recovery runs entirely against that image, leaving the original exactly as it arrived.
If the drive has failed or the hardware wallet is damaged, we recover or repair it first so the data can be read.
We recover the wallet file, keystore or seed data — from the file system, or carved out of the raw data if it was deleted or formatted.
Where the wallet file is corrupted, we repair what can be repaired to make it usable again.
We confirm the recovered file or data is intact — without ever needing to move, or touch, your funds.
You get your wallet file or data back and restore access yourself. Your keys and coins stay yours alone, at every stage.
From a failed drive holding a wallet.dat to a damaged Ledger or a deleted keystore, we recover the data behind your wallet — always from a read-only image, and always handed back to you to restore, so your keys never leave your control.
Describe what went wrong and an engineer will be in touch — normally before the next working day is out.
We will get back to you soon. If it is urgent, call 028 9002 0144.
A free assessment comes first, then a fixed quote in writing. Every wallet job is priced on its own facts — what’s missing, what hardware survives — and we’ll only quote at all where recovery is genuinely realistic. The fee is for data recovery work; we never take a cut of your coins.
A representative selection of wallet-data recoveries across different devices — device types and outcomes shown, customer details kept private. In every case the customer restored their own wallet from the recovered data.
The drive had a head fault. We repaired it in clean-air conditions, imaged it, and recovered the wallet file for the owner to restore.
The file had been removed weeks earlier but the drive was little used since. We carved the keystore back out of the image intact.
The casing and board were corroded, but the storage was intact. We cleaned it, read the data, and returned it for the owner to restore.
Reviews from owners we helped regain access to their own wallets.
No invented reviews here. We're collecting verified, named reviews from our Belfast customers and will publish them here as they come in. In the meantime you're welcome to call and talk an issue through with an engineer on 028 9002 0144.
Post or drop in your device for a free diagnostic, with a note on what happened — an engineer reviews it and confirms your exact quote in writing before any work begins.
First step: get the device onto our Belfast bench. Wrap it well, tuck your contact details in the box, and post it over — the diagnostic costs nothing, and you’ll have a firm written price to approve before we touch a single sector.
Posting it? A tracked, insured service is best. Dropping it off instead? You’re welcome Monday–Friday, 9am–5:30pm — please still pack the device as above.
Not ready to send anything yet? Use the form to describe the fault in your own words and one of the engineers will come back with a quote tailored to your situation.

The questions we're asked most about crypto wallet recovery.
If it's completely lost, no — and no honest service can. A seed phrase is designed so that only you have it. If you have most of it, or the wallet file or device still exists somewhere, that's a different and often solvable problem. But we won't pretend to guess a seed from nothing.
Yes — this is exactly what we do. We recover the failed drive and extract your wallet file (wallet.dat, keystore or similar) from an image of it, then hand it back for you to restore your wallet. The recovery is the same as for any other important file.
Not a strong one — that's the point of it. Where you remember part of the password or have a hint, and still have the wallet file, there's sometimes a realistic chance. If it's a strong password with nothing to go on, we'll tell you honestly rather than run up a bill.
No, and please be careful here: no legitimate service can reverse a blockchain transaction or recover scammed crypto, and any firm claiming to “trace and recover” it for a fee is a second scam. We only recover data from your own devices.
Often, yes. A physically damaged hardware wallet is a data-recovery job like any other — where the storage survived, we can recover the data from it for you to restore your wallet. What we return goes to you and no one else.
Never. We recover data and hand it back to you; you restore your wallet and control your funds throughout. We charge a data-recovery fee, not a percentage of anything — and we never need to move your coins.
Drop it in at our Belfast office Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm, or post it fully insured, with your contact details inside. For anything sensitive, call us first on 028 9002 0144 and we'll talk it through before you send it.
We can't guess a lost seed or reverse a transaction — but if your wallet file or hardware wallet still exists, we can recover the data and hand it back for you to restore. Honest, free assessment first. We charge for recovery, never a cut of your funds.
