His self-recovery had produced the genre's most confusing partial result. The decode: why the tools found housekeeping and missed the holiday

Treat housekeeping-only results as a method ceiling, not a verdict — fragmented video needs filesystem-aware reassembly that signature carving can't perform. Don't run additional apps hoping for different depths, don't reformat, and don't reuse the card. Note which tools you ran and what they surfaced (it maps the shallow layer usefully), state exactly what you want back, and expect playback-verified delivery of it — and only it.
