All quotes are provided in writing with a fixed price and there will be no additional costs incurred once you've accepted our quote and we start working on your data recovery. In most cases, you only pay if we recover your data.
The price of recovery is always determined upfront each time; in fact for most of our recoveries, you don't pay unless your data has been recovered.

Beginning at our online quotation tool: choose your device, tell us about the fault you are experiencing, and we will give you an estimated charge immediately: no waiting and no obligation. This is probably the fastest method of estimating costs prior to sending your device away.
Sending your device to us in one of two methods: deliver to our Belfast office personally (we do not require appointments) or post to us insured. We provide no collection service. Make sure you package securely so that the device cannot be damaged during shipping. For a RAID array or server, remove all the hard drives from the server or enclosure; label each hard drive individually according to their bay position and ship only the hard drives. If possible, do the same for a Network Attached Storage (NAS).
On our bench in our Belfast data recovery laboratory, our engineers open your device and determine specifically what has failed and what amount of data can be recovered. What they find is turned into a fixed written quotation (one price for the entire job), usually within 48 hours. Until you confirm "yes", none of this would have been performed at a cost to you. In most cases, you only pay if we were successful in recovering your data.
Upon your confirmation, we begin the actual recovery process: we create images of your device, repair any physical problems found by the engineer, and rebuild file systems or arrays based upon the requirements of the specific task being performed. All of these steps occur on our UK laboratory equipment; your original drive remains with us throughout the entire process.
No matter which method you would like to receive your recovered files (written to new media and posted or made available immediately via secure download), in most cases you will only be charged once your data has been safely returned.
The following items are constant regardless of the type of device or problem encountered with your data.
There will always be a written estimate provided prior to commencing any chargeable work; the estimate will never increase during the course of the work; and there will never be any hidden charges or surprises included in the final invoice.
Every assessment and data recovery performed at our lab is conducted solely by one of our experienced engineers.
From the time your data arrives with us until the time it leaves, every step of the process remains completely confidential and is viewed exclusively by the engineer(s) working directly on the project.
For the majority of the jobs, no recovered data means no cost, and there are a few "specialist" type of jobs where a deposit is required; again, we will always get this settled with you ahead of time before doing anything else.
